Tim Blane

Tim’s songs are “filled with lush instrumentation, beautifully clever prose, and songs that make the heart remember…” -Metronome Magazine

“A deeply talented musician and honest lyricist.” -Insite Magazine

“…tunes bound to stay in your head long after the music ends.” -Northeast Performer Magazine

On the one hand, Tim Blane’s career has followed a traditional singer/songwriter path. Since 2006, he’s played throughout the US, sharing the stage with acts like the Goo Goo Dolls, oneRepublic, Cake, and Fabolous. He was nominated for a Boston Music Award, was twice a finalist in the Starbucks Songwriting Competition, and has 15 different Ourstage.com wins. His song “Magnetic” was a finalist of the 2011 International Songwriting Competition, and CAA’s 2009 “Cassandra Report” named him an artist to watch.

Yet on the other hand, Tim has taken some unusual paths. Since 2009, he has been seen in millions of homes teaching guitar and piano lessons as the teacher in Apple’s “Garageband” program. He was also hired to write custom ringtones for Pepsi, and recently has composed the score for 2 feature length films, one short film and several web videos. His newest album, “You Can’t Go Back,” is a collection of catchy, acoustic-pop songs and was released in 2011.
